We are an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), a brand, and a vendor. We manufacture our own products, so we are an OEM. We sell these products under our own Clean-Water brand, and we don’t do job work or white-label manufacturing for other companies.
In terms of how we work, we act as a vendor for NGOs, government contractors, and other organizations involved in water body restoration. These partners typically handle activities like desilting, cleaning, plantation, civil works, and boundary development, while we supply our specialized lake restoration products and solutions to them.
We are not a system integrator.
The product design, concept, formulation, and overall development are entirely done by us. We do the complete product design.
The manufacturing is carried out through our approved manufacturing partner, whose plant is located in Dewas, near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. So, while the production is executed at our manufacturing partner’s facility, the products are developed by us and manufactured as per our specifications and quality standards.

No, we do not allow client or consultant visits to our manufacturing plant or lab. However, you are always welcome to visit our project sites to see our products and solutions in action.
Our primary focus is on providing our products and solutions. We generally do not offer standalone consulting services.
However, if a client requires consulting separately, we can consider it on a case-by-case basis, provided the consulting scope and commercial terms meet our expectations.
Clean-Water started in 2017. We registered the company as Sustainable Water Technologies Private Limited. In our initial years, our primary focus was on building sewage treatment plants (STPs), and we successfully delivered over 30 STPs.
However, we later realised that out of all those projects, only two clients were actually operating their STPs effectively. That made us rethink our approach. We understood that simply building infrastructure was not enough if it was not being used and maintained properly.
That is when we decided to pivot from a services-based business to a product-based approach, focusing on water body rejuvenation. Since then, we have been developing products and solutions that help restore lakes, ponds, and other water bodies in a more practical and scalable way.
Our mission is simple: to rejuvenate one lakh (100,000) water bodies.
Yes, we do work on CSR projects. Although we are a Private Limited company and cannot receive CSR funds directly, a significant portion of our work comes through the CSR route.
Typically, the CSR funds are routed through an implementing NGO or a CSR implementation partner. The NGO then procures our products and solutions for the project. So while we do not receive CSR funds directly, we actively cater to and execute CSR-supported water body rejuvenation projects.
We primarily work in the water body rejuvenation sector.
Our clients include government projects (through implementation partners), industries, private organisations, educational institutions, NGOs, resorts, temple trusts, residential communities, and owners of private lakes and ponds.
If there is a freshwater body that needs rejuvenation, we can generally support the project.
Our expertise is in improving water quality.
We work on issues such as polluted water, foul smell, algae growth, poor dissolved oxygen, nutrient pollution, invasive aquatic plants, and overall ecological degradation.
As the water quality improves, nature begins to restore itself. Aquatic life returns, biodiversity improves, and the overall appearance of the water body also becomes healthier and more aesthetically pleasing.
Yes, we work with private organisations, institutions, NGOs, non-profits, communities, industries, and other organisations directly. We do not work with government bodies directly.
For government projects, we generally work through our distributors, implementation partners, or NGOs rather than engaging directly with government departments. So our model is typically B2B2G rather than direct government contracting.
We have successfully completed projects across 12 states in India.
Our products have been used in more than 30 water bodies, including lakes, ponds, rivers, and other freshwater ecosystems across the country.
Since we are product manufacturers, we do not usually own or manage the overall project. The client, the government, or the NGO owns the project. Our role is to provide the most suitable solution for improving water quality.

Generally, we do not conduct site surveys or feasibility studies as part of our standard offering.
However, if a client requires a detailed survey, feasibility study, or baseline assessment, we can provide it as a separate consulting service, depending on the scope of work and applicable consulting fees.
Once an order is confirmed, it typically takes 30 to 45 days to manufacture and deliver the products. Installation generally takes one to two days.
After installation, noticeable improvements in the water body are usually visible within about one month, although the exact timeline depends on the condition of the water body.
Our primary business is manufacturing and supplying products for water body rejuvenation.
However, if a client requires end-to-end project management — including coordination with contractors, implementation partners, installation, commissioning, and maintenance — we are open to discussing and providing those services on a case-by-case basis.
Our team generally handles the complete installation and commissioning process.
That said, our products are designed to be simple to install and maintain. If a client prefers, they can install the products themselves. However, in almost all our projects, the installation and commissioning are carried out by our team to ensure everything is set up correctly.
Yes.
After installation, we provide training to the client’s team, caretakers, or maintenance personnel. Since our products are easy to operate and maintain, the client can manage routine maintenance themselves if they choose to.
We also provide maintenance guidelines and manuals for long-term operation.

Whenever a client faces a technical issue, they can contact us by phone or email. Our technical team reviews the issue and provides the appropriate guidance and support.

We provide Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services after installation. Clients can either maintain the products themselves after receiving training, or choose to engage us for ongoing maintenance through an AMC or O&M contract.

We do not work in conventional water treatment sectors such as sewage treatment plants (STPs), effluent treatment plants (ETPs), rainwater harvesting, or drinking water treatment.

We actively collaborate with research institutions, universities, environmental experts, and other organisations for research, product development, pilot projects, grants, and technical innovation.

Our solutions can be implemented in water bodies of almost any size — from small ponds to large lakes and rivers.
We work with both stagnant and flowing freshwater systems, including lakes, ponds, reservoirs, rivers, streams, drains, and canals.
However, we do not work in saline or brackish water bodies such as seas and oceans.

Our solutions can be easily integrated and directly retrofitted with existing infrastructure.
For example, if treated water from an STP is being discharged into a lake or pond, our products can be installed directly in that water body to further improve water quality and support ecological restoration.
For water quality testing, we generally prefer testing as per IS 10500, which is the Indian Standard for drinking water quality.

We always prefer using native aquatic plant species that are suitable for the local ecosystem.
However, we do not limit ourselves to locally available construction materials, since our focus is on supplying standardised products designed for long-term performance.
For long-term maintenance, we generally engage local personnel near the project site. During installation, we identify reliable local individuals who can assist with routine maintenance.
They share regular updates, photos, and videos with us over WhatsApp, while our engineers and supervisors periodically review the project’s progress and conduct site visits whenever required.
This helps ensure efficient and sustainable long-term maintenance.
Yes, we can support awareness and outreach programmes related to water conservation. However, this depends on the agreed scope of work and requires adequate compensation.
Educational programmes and workshops are not part of our standard offerings.
However, if an institution requires them, we can organise workshops or awareness sessions on a case-bycase basis, provided they align with the scope of work and we are adequately compensated.
Our primary contribution is improving water quality.
As water quality improves and dissolved oxygen levels increase, aquatic ecosystems begin to recover naturally. Fish, birds, ducks, insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other aquatic life gradually return, allowing biodiversity to restore itself over time.
In other words, by restoring the water body, we create the conditions for nature to regenerate on its own.
